I'm pathetically missing you

I know what it's like to be happy.
For years, we've been enjoying every bit of happiness together,
nothing has ever come in our way,
felt like we had the world in our hands.
I might not be as happy as before,
but I'm grateful more than ever,
because I've known what it's like to be that girl and live that life we lived,
even though we were young, too young, we knew love,
we knew life, we knew so many things no one else of that age would know,
we knew each other...
and now I'm so thankful that we've come this far,
I'm so thankful that, even if it was at the wrong time, we found each other,
and still have one another,
and always will.
